HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ME!!!!

I am such a kid, I still L-O-V-E having my birthday and I guess you don't have to guess when it is, because of the spoiler in the title.

That's just my way, totally open, totally happy, totally diggin' life.

Happy Birthday to me. Check me out at one week old, that's my Daddy's teddy bear on the left. I don't know his name, but for the sake of this blog let's just call him,...oh I don't know. How about Lefty? Why not? He's on the left side of the picture and my dad was a southpaw. Perfect!!!

Look at that hair. Look at those lips. That, right there, is an intense baby. Destined for big things. That look says, "Look out world. Here I come".

Happy Birthday Garrison

This day 24 years ago my life was changed forever. I knew my life was going to be different, but I had no idea how in love I was going to be for the rest of my life. My son is so very special. He is genuine and gentle. He is romantic and true. My son is compassionate and caring. He can be shy and totally and completely hilarious. My son is a beautiful soul. He loves babies and music. He is deep and silly. Today is his birthday and I am holding him in my mind in a warm loving momma hug.

I can not believe it has been 24 years. It seems impossible. I feel like I am only about 32 myself. When ever I have dreams about him, he is always still little even if in my dream he is dealing with adult issues, he's usually anywhere from 5- 9 years old in my dreams. I wonder if my mom dreams about me. I wonder if she does, if I am always little. Hmmm.

I love you Garrison. Happy Birthday. This is always one of the happiest days of my life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KERI

Happy Birthday to my adorable wife. We have been together since we were 25, so that really has only been 4 years right, because you're 29 today right? ;) Kidding aside, we have been together 18 years and I am so grateful for all the fun, the laughs, the love, the support, the patience, the tears and all the growth we have shared over the years.
Usually, people refer to their spouses as their better half, but I think in our case we really have been supportive of each other developing our own better halves within our selves. I wouldn't be who I am today if it were not for the way we have growth together and individually. I love you baby with all my heart and though it is not my birthday, it is my wish that you have wonderful days for the rest of your life, but just in case you don't, it is my promise to you to be there for you, any time you need me. I also promise to give you the space you need to be true to yourself. I love you baby.
