What is your life's purpose???

pwha phwa phwa phwa

The sound of my favorite stout evacuating the growler and relocating to the pint glass. As I pour the delicious liquid, it slowly glides down the inside of the glass down and swirls into a yummy pool at the bottom, it slightly tints the glass with a dark chocolatey hue. Is the liquid excited to live out it's purpose? Which in my perspective is to satisfy my taste,... Does the liquid care? If everything is made of energy and has an awareness,... Is the liquid aware that it exists to please my taste buds?

How many people wonder if their favorite beer is living or not? Furthermore, if by some bizarre fact that it does actually LIVE, how many are contemplating if the beer is pleased with its life by satisfying my taste?

Wait a minute,... Let's look at this concept for a moment. Is my beer alive? What is beer? Beer is an alcoholic beverage that is made out of grains: wheat, barley and hops. Which are plants that are growing and living,.... I'm just sayin',... Follow me here!!!

Ok, so the plants (wheat, barley and hops) used to create beer, do they lose their essence when they transition from living plant into ingredients? Some part of their living time has to retained within them as they transition to the form that is used to create beer, which is what they currently are,... Right?

So, as a seed grows onto a plant and a plant grows into a blossom, fruit or vegetable,...so does a grain that grows into a beer. It is that LIVING part of that being's existence, that wants to achieve its purpose and to feel satisfied knowing as it is poured down my throat it's dancing with my taste buds, and in doing so has totally and completely lived a life, satisfied.

Shit! I better finish this beer,... I don't want to deny him of his life's purpose.

Cigarette flavored slurpy?

This past week end my wife and I got snowed in. We were in our house together for 3.5 days. Luckily, we had plenty of food and of course just enough beer. We did actually end up walking to the grocery store on Sunday to pick up a few essentials which included a couple 22oz bottles of beer. We invited our friend and neighbor, Teresa, to join us. Her response via text was, Hell-yeah, lemme get changed.

So, we bundled up and headed down to the closest pub. The temperature got up to 32, so it really was not that cold of a walk. In fact I discovered that with my 2 pairs of socks, leggings, sweat pants, long sleeved thermal shirt under a tee shirt with hoodie and coat, oh and scarf and ball cap was a smidgen overboard. How did I know this? Once we arrived at the pub I was sitting there with Keri and Teresa trying to decide what to eat and I was completely distracted by the sweat that was collecting in the small of my back and more concerning in my armpits, creating a charming little armpit accent, always a girls favorite. I commented on how hot I was and the girls suggested I step outside to cool off.

Brilliant!!! I stepped out the back door where I knew I would find the back parking lot lined on one side with trees and a nice little creek. I stood there on the back door step listening to the snow melting, little droplets of water dripping from the thawing tree branches. I listened to the water of the little creek whirling by behind the trees. As I felt my breath leaving my body, I watched the warmth of my breath hit the cold air and form those clouds we all loved to create as children pretending to be dragons. I wondered if steam was coming off my body as I stood there cooling off, I listened to the little birds chirping not too far away. The cars on the street from the front of the building were sluggishly driving by in the slowly melting snow, turning the streets from beautiful white pristine sheets of ice into the ugliest slurpy you ever did see. It looked like a cigarette flavored slurpy. YUCK!

Other than the cigarette flavored slurpy that was lining all the streets, this moment in the cold air was the perfect setting for a quite moment of perfection. It created exactly what I had hoped, just enough cold air to knock my body temp down a peg or two. I took in one last cold breath deep into my lungs and turned towards to the door to rejoin my wife and friend for a nice cold beer and yummy sammy.

The companionship and yummy food was a delightful distraction from the last 72 plus, snow filled, hours.

Positive self talk

It is my intention to speak to myself in a positive fashion. I know that I am a perfect spiritual being. I know that I am a flawed human being and that my words have power. It is my intention to use my powerful words to create my reality. I have a strong healthy carefree body, mind and spirit. I intend for my whole self to be fit and healthy.

I am delighted with my level of fitness and self reflection. I am open to improvements. I know there are ways we can make little adjustments that have a large affect. It is my intention to allow myself time to do what I want to do for the health of my physical, emotional and spiritual self.

I love the way my body feels when I am working out and eating healthy. I make time for exercise and make wise choices regarding food (most of the time). Beer is good for me, right? I love the way my attitude feels when I am focused. I make time for looking within. I love feeling my true connections. I make time for moments of truth. I just want to feel good and that is why it is important to me to make this time for myself.

I am a real person.

I allow this or something better for the highest good of myself and everyone involved.
